Raw child photos are not saved as part of a browser draft or placed in Shopify cart details.

Information used in the creator

The creator stores non-photo choices—such as age group, theme, message, font, language, and dedication—in this browser's local storage. Generated cover previews may be stored in browser IndexedDB so they can reappear in a saved cart.

Raw uploaded photos remain in current-tab memory and must be uploaded again after a refresh.

Live AI processing

Choosing the primary child's photo is the affirmative permission action for temporary AI processing. The photo and selected story details are then sent through our server to fal.ai to create cover artwork. The API key never runs in browser JavaScript. The photo is placed at an unguessable fal CDN URL so the model can download it, and input/output media are configured to expire after up to one hour. The request opts out of JSON input/output history. This is temporary provider processing, not immediate deletion.

Mock mode

When mock mode is active, no photo is sent to fal.ai. A local theme image is returned instead so the customer flow can be tested safely.

Shopify cart and checkout

When Shopify is connected, non-photo personalization details—including child name, age, gender, theme, personality, interests, dedication, additional-character descriptions, and whether a photo was used—are sent to Shopify as cart-line attributes. Shopify then processes checkout, customer, delivery, payment, and order information under the merchant's Shopify configuration. Raw photos and generated browser blobs are not sent to Shopify.

What is not connected

This version has no LittleYouStories customer database, authentication service, or email provider. Contact-form messages are checked locally but are not delivered. Merchant access to raw photos or generated preview files also requires a future approved private-storage integration.

Your choices

Remove a character photo to revoke its local object URL. Clear browser site data to remove saved draft, cart metadata, and generated-cover blobs. Avoid using the creator on a shared device if those details should not remain there.
